Neighborhood overview
Chania town is 18 km far, while the popular villages of Agia Marina and Platanias can be easily approached within 8 km Many everyday facilities are located in Maleme village; supermarkets, a butcher, a public Medicine Center, a Police Department, a pharmacy, and mini-markets. There are many cafeterias, tavernas and restaurants spread from the center of the village to the beach. The long fine pebble beach in the north is partly organized (not crowded) and provides all types of facilities such as sun-chairs, umbrellas and outdoor showers.
Getting around
A car is not necessary and taxis can be arranged.Let me know if you wish to rent a car and i will be more than happy to help you since i cooperate with local rent a car company
