Neighborhood overview
The villa is located in the small traditional village of Spilia. Near the property there is a traditional, family tavern where you can taste homemade traditional dishes. The mini market and other small shops are in the center of Spilia just few minutes walking from the property. The closest beach is Kolymvari about 3 km form the villa.The touristic and very active village of Platanias is about 14 km far and there you can find many restaurants, bars, disco, shops, big market. The fantastic and unmissable city of Chania is 25 km away, Chania airport 42 km and Heraklion airport 160 km. Car rental is necessary.
It is very easy to go to the most beautiful and famous beaches of Crete [ Elafonissi, Falasarna, Balosetc] and that is because the villa is very near the highway, without even passing through the very crowded village of Platanias or the city of Chania, avoiding the traffic jam.
For those who love walking or cycling (mountain bike), there are many trails in the surrounding areas of the villa that penetrate into the wonderful nature of the olive and passing through narrow paths of small typical Cretan villages.
Getting around
A car is necessary and taxis can be arranged. Let me know if you wish to rent a car and i will be more than happy to help you since i cooperate with local rent a car company
